I will deal with you, Ruto tells Azimio

President William Ruto has said he will not relent on his stand in dealing with the opposition Azimio la Umoja protests.

Ruto however said he will not use force as advised by some of his allies who want him to rain terror on the opposition.

Speaking in Vihiga, while commissioning a water project the President said that the Constitution did not provide for anyone to loot or destroy public property in the pretence of protest.

Ruto reiterated that the government was not going to allow anarchy or violent protests.

According to Ruto, Kenya is a democratic state and all Kenyans want is room to carry out their business but the protests were denying them that.

National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah who had accompanied the head of state had asked Ruto to continue clamping down the opposition over their demonstrations.

Ruto criticized the opposition over their anti-government protest saying that it will not solve anything.

He also called out Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka telling them to stop using other people's children for protest.

He said that the two should recal Winnie Odinga and Kennedy Musyoka from the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) to come lead the protests.

"Why do they want the children of others to be out for Maandamano yet their children are safe at home?" he posed.
