General Ogolla's son Joel Rabuku defends father's relationship with President Ruto

Joel Rabuku, the straight-shooting son of General Francis Ogolla, has downplayed claims of a silent row between his father and President William Ruto.

For a man who appears dedicated to following in his father's footsteps in giving back to the community, Rabuku dismissed claims of foul play in his father's death.

He said that his father was a good friend of the president and was devoted to serving the government.

This happened as the hard-hitting son claimed some political leaders were only "all talk but little action" as he made his tribute to his father during the burial on Sunday.

He vowed to transform the region by pursuing development projects.

He claimed that his father enjoyed a good relationship with the president and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.

“After his appointment, they became friends and had a good working chemistry. The friendship extended to the deputy president and the Cabinet Secretary of Defence,” Rabuku said.

He faulted bloggers for allegedly spreading rumours about the death of his father.

Rabuku vowed to take over his father's works of compassion by rehabilitating schools, building churches, and sinking boreholes for the community.

“I discussed with the president and his deputy and told them about my plan to start a project to improve the lives of Nyanza. I plan to rehabilitate schools, build churches, and provide water in the next two, or three years. Politicians make so much noise with no results,” he said.
